AUDITIONS for One-Acts

auditions

Center Stage Playhouse is casting roles in the upcoming evening of one-acts, POST ITS (NOTES ON A MARRIAGE) and LINE.

When: Friday, April 5, 2013 @ 7pm; callbacks Sunday April 7 @ 3pm

Location:
Bronx House
990 Pelham Parkway South
Bronx NY 10461
(for directions, visit their web site: http://www.bronxhouse.org)

POST ITS (Notes on a Marriage) by Paul Dooley and Winnie Holzman:
The story of two people’s lives together – as told through Post It Notes left on the fridge.

ACTOR: 20’s – 30’s.
ACTRESS: 20’s – 30’s.
All ethnicities encouraged to audition. Will need to “age” as the play progresses . . .

LINE by Israel Horovitz:
One by one a group of unacquainted people come together to form a line for some unnamed, upcoming event. Chaos ensues.

MOLLY: Wife of Arnall, 30’s possibly early 40’s. Upper West Side chic, but not overly done. Attractive, smart, driven. She is the only female presence in the play and uses what she must to get to the front of the line.
DOLAN: 30’s – 40’s, possibly early 50’s. Classic New Yorker, Bronx or Brooklyn. Attractive, philosophical, unflappable, cool, in control. Until he loses it. Exhibits a delicate balance of charm and menace.
FLEMING: 30’s – 40’s. The first in the line, an avid sports fan, waited all night. Not particularly swift, could be Midwest.

Bring pix and resume if you have them.

It would be great if you have one contemporary and one classical monologue prepared.

See you there! Spread the word to any actors/actresses who might be interested in auditioning.
