ANTHONY J. DELLA ROCCA
Anthony J. Della Rocca passed away as gently as he lived on March 24, 2013, at the age of 81. He attended Villanova University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Anthony was a U.S. Army Veteran, teacher, professional actor and founder of the Center Stage Playhouse in the Bronx, New York. Shortly after moving to Vero Beach, Florida in 1999, he volunteered his talents to the Vero Beach Theater Guild, where he directed numerous plays and musicals. Two of his productions set Theater Guild attendance records that still stand today. He was known as an actor’s director for his ability to teach and inspire people to bring out their best.

In every area of life and to his family, friends and students; he was kind, gentile, caring and supportive. Anthony’s life was characterized by wonderful talent, sensitivity and determination. He is survived by his partner Michael Kadish of Vero Beach and Long Island; his brother and sister-in- law, Robert and Darleen Della Rocca; his nieces and nephew, Ann, Amy and David, their spouses Mark, Brad and Sarah; grand nieces and nephews, Sydney, Allie, Ryan, Luke, Rosalie, Elena, Peter and Cecilia. He was deeply loved and honored by all. Contributions in Anthony’s name can be made to the Volunteer Health Program, Itd., a nonprofit eye care mission, in care of Michael Kadish, 924 Island Club Square, Vero Beach, Florida 32963. http://www.volunteerhealthprog ram.org. A memorial gathering of those touched by Tony’s kindness and talents will be held at the Vero Beach Theatre Guild on April 20, 2013 from 3- 5PM.
